Electric powered machinery is amazing. Unlike gas powered devices, those that run on electricity can be powered by the wind, sun, or other renewable energy sources. As a result, environmentally friendly vehicles are celebrated everywhere.

So, it should come as no surprise that Kawasaki’s new electric motorcycle is peaking interest around the world. Although this awesome ride will not become a used motorcycle anytime soon, it will be available at motorcycle dealerships within the next few years.

Let’s take an in-depth look at why this motorcycle is so exciting.

Affordable Motorcycles From Kawasaki

During the 2019 Milan Motorcycle Shows, also known as the EICMA, Kawasaki hinted at an electric motorcycle being developed. However, no solid details or additional clues about the eco-friendly device was revealed. Needless to say, we were left with a lot of questions.

Fortunately, the motorcycle manufacturer did not make us wait too long to find out.

A mere five months after the EICMA, Kawasaki debuted sample videos of the new electric motorcycle online. According to the clips, the new electric motorcycle is officially going to be called the Kawasaki EV Endeavor.

Based on the name’s definition, the motorcycle manufacturer is purposely attempting to develop a brand new electric motorcycle, and given the device’s groundbreaking features, the Endeavor lives up to its name.

The yet to be released Kawasaki motorcycle operates via manual transmission and cycles through gears via a four shifter gearbox. In case you are not familiar with why that is a big deal, thus far most electric motorbike manufacturers go with a single gear setup.

In addition, if this device is paired with the ability to salvage lost energy akin to how high-end ebikes operate, the new Endeavor will be affordable based on energy savings alone.

Are Endeavors Cheap Motorcycles?

The Endeavor is not going to be cheap given it is a new model. That said, considering how small the electric motorcycle’s engine is you may be convinced otherwise.

Nevertheless, despite the engine’s small capacity, having four different gears to shift into means ample torque will be available on demand. Taking this into consideration, the new Kawasaki EV Endeavor will likely offer a ride that is as smooth and fluid as an ebike, only much, much faster.

In case you have any doubts, check out this video from Kawasaki. During the 20-second clip, the motorcycle manufacturer showcases the electric motorcycle in motion on a race track from a modest distance away. The person riding the sports bike is able to hit a curve full speed, tilt almost completely over, and continue on without a hint of struggle.

Based on this information, the Endeavor can gain, and maintain, excessive speeds akin to its gasoline powered predecessors. Kawasaki also noted that the electric motorcycle is “circuit bred for light handling and fun, responsive control”.

Needless to say, should Kawasaki find a way to maintain this fierce power performance over hills and other unusual terrain, the Endeavor is likely to find its way into the households of motorcycle enthusiasts around the globe.
